The most effective way to shape policy is by being a part of a movement.
While many organizations across the country are advocating to improve our child care system, few are pushing for a vision of universal child care that is free for every family and pays every child care worker a living wage. Below, I’ve shared organizations I am aware of that most align with the goal of universal child care. I encourage you to support organizations in your state that are not on this list and urge them to expand beyond incremental solutions.
If you would like your organization, coalition, or campaign to be included on the list, please reach out!

Share your story
There are many opportunities to share your story—on social media, in op-eds, in town halls held by elected officials, and in testimony. Connecting with child care organizations will help you know when your story is needed most to make change.
Talking about your experience and directly linking it to the solutions you want to see in the world is the most powerful thing you can do as an advocate. You can read my child care story at the bottom of this page. If you’d like to share your story with me, I would love to help you share it.
